MELEE DAMAGE MODIFIERS |
---|
A player’s damage calculations are performed every time a player swings. Anatomy and Tactics both provide a damage bonus based on the skill value of the attacker.
While Tactics provides a greater passive damage bonus, Anatomy’s is quite significant as well. The damage bonus for having the anatomy skill is a percentage based on the attackers skill divided by two. For example: 10 anatomy equals a 5% damage bonus. After reaching GM or higher in the skill, however, an additional 5% is added on that number. For example, at 100 skill the normal damage bonus would be half of 100, or 50%, but because the attacker is GM, they gain the 5% bonus for a total of 55% damage bonus at 100 skill.

While Anatomy and Tactics are perhaps the most well known attributes that contribute to weapon damage, they are not the only modifiers. A player's Strength also plays a factor, as well as Lumberjacking if a players chooses to use axes.
See below for more detail:
Strength
All players gain a passive damage bonus based on their strength. For every 10 strength a player gains a .3% bonus to their damage, with a 5% flat bonus at 100 strength.
Lumberjacking
Players who choose to wield axes gain a passive bonus from having the lumberjacking skill. Players will gain a .2% increase for every 10 lumberjacking skill with a huge bonus of 10% at Grandmaster lumberjacking skill.
